Bought two new waterproof bags as I’m moving to Washington state. Super happy with this one and the urban ex backpack. I’ve always preferred sling bags when I’m biking so that was the main appeal with this one. I was debating between Chrome and Timbuk2 and am so happy I went with Chrome. I was genuinely impressed with all that these bags offer, as well as how well they’re constructed and how clean they look. Easily exceeded my expectations for both bags.

It feels extremely well made and durable. Waterproof zippers are definitely no joke. This comfortably holds all my rain gear, computer and I put my u-lock in the front pocket. I like the chest buckle on these new models, but it’s cool that you can swap it for the old school buckles still too. Keep it up chrome!

1. This bag does not come with the signature Chrome seatbelt buckle. The one it comes with is plastic and very easily breakable. It is also not a very smooth locking and unlock process. Having to order the traditional seatbelt buckle separately at an additional cost was not a positive experience.

2. The zippers are not good. Yes, they are waterproof, but the zip and unzip process takes MUSCLE. You cannot easily unzip any zipper with just one hand. If you plan on using this bag while cycling, you will not get those zippers open while riding. I don't want to have to fight with my bag just to open it. Chrome sends you zipper lube, but it doesn't really help and you get lube all over the zipper tract.

3. The top access opening into the main part of the bag obstructs the laptop / tablet area. Again, two hands are needed to spread the bag open just to get the laptop in. It should be easier to access the laptop area without obstruction.
