I have been wearing a hand-me-down Lululemon fanny pack for a few years. It was slim and held essentials, had structure. One of the teeth broke on the clip so I went shopping for another. Knowing Chrome has incredible quality (as long-time cyclist), I searched for Chrome's version of the everyday fanny pack. This is it. It is very slip, has a zipper in the back where I put a work badge. The center holds my wallet, several lip tints, a first aid kit, more ID badges, and my phone. If I want to fit my keys (think four keys, plus car fab), I usually have my cell in my pocket. It is GREAT, and I love how secure the zipper system is. I can unzip it with one hand, not having to hold onto the bag to do it. I like that it's "tall", and my phone has a good amount of space above it before the top of bag/zipper area is. I would love to have this is more textures, something subtle like camo or cheetah print. Either way, I got the black and it is truly great. If I could change one thing, it would be the strap. There's a lot of excess strap. I know it's helpful for those who need more slack, but it is cumbersome to keep tidy and (not) loose. Maybe I just need to mess with the strap more to understand what I can do with it to keep it permanently out of the way.

Bag is 10/10. Hearty, perfect size, gorgeous, very neutral and structured.

The best sling from Chrome Industries seems to be the next one you purchase. However, after my acquisition of the Mini-Tensile sling, I can say this is truly my favorite day-to-day sling yet! I have the Berlin messenger, the Mini Kadet, and the Barrage, and now the Mini-Tensile and it’s perfect. I have a very small EDC carry list and this sling encourages you to only have what’s necessary. I love the slide pocket on the back for your passport or other important document. The interior has enough room to carry my wallet, chapstick, two phones, keys, knife or multi-tool, and there’s still room for more. The quality is 100% Chrome, meaning bombproof without being uncomfortable and I love having it with me. My only wish is that it had swappable buckles, but, the plastic buckles used are always super burly and always click in place with a satisfying snap. Also, I’m a decently sized guy (5’7” about 250lbs) and the strap is plenty long enough for adjustment, and can easily be worn front of body or behind. If you’re looking for a high-quality, unique, daily sling the Mini-Tensile should be the top of your shortlist.
