Not the Brand It Used to Be

have been wearing these boots for approximately eight years, and during that time I have purchased three pairs. Each pair lasted me around two years of heavy use, and I usually replaced them simply because they needed a refresh, even though they were still perfectly functional.

I purchased my most recent pair in December 2025, and they did not even last three months.

It truly saddens me to write this review because this is a brand I have genuinely appreciated and remained loyal to for many years. I have always considered them reliable and worth the price due to their durability and overall quality. However, with this last purchase, I have been deeply disappointed by both the customer service and the quality of the boots.

These are boots that, in my experience, usually continue to look good even after significant wear. This time, however, the leather started turning green in a very short period of time, which was unexpected given my previous experience with the brand.

I contacted customer service to see what possible solutions there might be, but I was simply told that the issue was not covered under warranty because the boots had already been worn.

I understand warranty policies, but in this case the response felt very rigid and unhelpful, with no attempt to explore alternatives.

I honestly do not understand the purpose of offering a one-year warranty if a claim cannot be made once the product has been used in normal conditions. Are customers expected to file warranty…

    Does not last

I purchased these boots last fall and they didn't make it through the winter without cracking. The leather top has come apart from the rubber sole at the seam, allowing dirt and water into the boots. Considering the warranty only covers defects and not wear and tear, this is extremely disappointing, as this should not be considered regular wear and tear. A boot costing this much should last longer. Converse used to make Gore-tex boots that lasted 2 years for my cycling.

    Does not last

These boots are no longer water proof after a few months of use. The leather top has developed a gap with the rubber sole, allowing water into both feet. I'm disappointed with how much money these cost, $180 original price, yet the warranty that lasts a year does not cover wear and tear. This should be covered though; any boot claiming to be waterproof and meant for biking should last at least a year, such as the Converse Gore-Tex that is no longer available unfortunately.

    Could use more firmness

The fit is true, maybe a touch on the narrow side. Waterproof works, comfortable fit. But for activities of any duration the sole should be stiffer. Would be good to have more cushion if standing longer times. Grippy soles are nice.
