Picture this, hundreds of people gathered in Milan, Italy just as the summer heat rolls in. The smell of cigarettes, beer and sweat wafting. Wait, what? That’s right, we had the pleasure of sponsoring the 2026 World Cycle Messenger Championship, and it did not disappoint. Deliveries were made, puzzles and shots taken out of tiny shoes. Winners walked away with Chrome Bags clad with correlating buckles to their finishings; First Gold, Second Chrome, and so on. And Losers? Well, they also rode away with a functional reminder of their shortcomings – a customized Citizen Messenger bag with a LOSER patch sewn across the front.
We even put some new (shhh.) bags the test. All we’ll say is yes, you can carry a keg on your back. Among that, 500 participants, 34 countries, and 30 beer kegs transported by bike.
Our history started when a few guys wanted to design a better bag for bike messengers. They stitched up a few messenger style bags, added seat belt buckles they found in a junkyard, and the rest is history. Messengers helped make Chrome what it is today. We wanted to give back to the community, so it was a no brainer to support this fun event.
