For three decades, our bags have been part of countless rides, commutes, tours, and daily hustles. But it’s not the bags that make the story—it’s the people who carry them. Chrome Bag Stories is our way of celebrating the riders, makers, dreamers, and doers who move through the world with purpose, one bag at a time.
Stay tuned as we drop a few stories at a time—real people, real rides, and the Chrome bags that have been along for it all.
STORY 1 | VOLUME 1 | @taddrt
"I bought my Warsaw when I started cardiac sonography school—a bit of style to carry my books alongside my camera gear. Since then, it’s been less of a bag and more of a co-conspirator. It’s weathered DC downpours where the rain felt like it wanted to erase the streets. It’s been knocked against Metro doors, dragged on the ground, and stuffed under tables where I studied until the lights shut off. It’s waited on classroom floors while I learned my new craft, and now it waits in my locker at Georgetown University Hospital, where I scan hearts for a living.
Inside is organized chaos: camera bodies, lenses, echo books, plus rogue Altoids and binder clips that have escaped their respective tins. Somehow, everything finds its place. It’s carried caffeine, courage, and the weight of a thousand flashcards.
Every scuff is a memory. What my Chrome bag means to me is simple—it’s proof that if a bag is built well, it can carry you through the hardest parts of becoming who you want to be."
STORY 2 | VOLUME 1 | @_agzz_
"My Kadet has been through quite a lot with me over the last 3 months. Ridden from London to the Brighton coast through rain and wind for charity, met many fixed riding friends, and had a crash or two but the bag has held held up through it all and continues to carry my bike lock, tools, snacks and cat treats."
STORY 3 | VOLUME 1 | @lexamus11
"I bought the Chrome backpack in 2014, the knife wrap in 2018 when I moved to Chicago to cook full time. Used them both daily getting to and from multiple kitchen gigs
Almost 10 years later they’re still rocking."
