I’ve hauled one of your bags into places most maps barely acknowledge. I work in remote Alaskan villages, and my Chrome was my lifeline; stuffed with a 3D camera, survival layers, and whatever else a sub-Arctic mission demands.
It’s been dragged with me behind a snowmachine at full throttle across tundra. Hitting ice bumps so hard I briefly achieved flight. It’s taken −40° wind in Tuntutuliak, sludge in Tetlin, salty air in Shishmaref, and countless treks across Nome on layovers when “just around the corner” turned into 8 miles across town.
I’ve used it as a shield from furious village dogs, as a sled handle, as a pillow during a blizzard lockdown inside a school science lab, and as a beat-up ride-or-die pack in a state where gear quits long before you’re allowed to. That bag never did. I lost it off the highway recently on a camping trip. After careful consideration I replaced it with a Barrage 38L. New pack, same mission. Chrome bags don’t survive Alaska by accident. They earn it.

This is my story of when I wiped out while wearing my Kadet sling. While I was on a group ride and going downhill at approximately 40mph, I bumped into another rider and fell off my bike, I fell front first, rolled on my back and slid on the street. During the ride I was wearing the chrome cycling gloves 2.0 and the Kadet sling.
The gloves and sling bag stayed on snug and secure during my fall and took majority of the damage when I fell. If it weren’t for your amazing quality I would’ve had major injuries. The bag is scuffed but is still perfectly functional to this day while being used consistently! I have a few other Chrome products and have been beyond satisfied with all my purchases. All the bags I own have been used excessively and show little to no wear! So thank you for continuing to provide amazing quality and DURABLE products!!!
