I've tried a lot. Goruck being the last one. My needs are 14" laptop, a jacket or extra in winter. Helmet. Breakfast. Charging cables. Usual office stuff. Most of the time in london you want something thats compact when the tube is used and waterproof, and sturdy, but enough to also put in a quick small food shop. Im possibly thinking i should've gone for the 22L, as my only worry with the 18L is the extension roll top doesn't have many rolls, so theres not much in the way of expansion. BUT...so far its a perfect size. I moved everything from a crumple messenger bag, which felt was getting awkward and heavy, and i had to double check the first time i used this bag as it was light. I thought id forgotten the laptop! I couple more small pockets would be nice, but ill learn to just drop things into the main compartment. The straps are super comfy, it sits well on my back (im only 5'2"). And the netting is a great idea. Holds a bern helmet, and i can see a a jacket could also be held there was well.

I can still see me buying a largwr one for weekends away 🤣
