A few changes from the last version of this bag

This is the 2nd version of this bag I bought as I liked my first one so much. I've had the new one for a few weeks now and here's my reflections.

The fabric of the bag is much thinner than the previous version. It's much lighter, but feels less sturdy. If you hold the new version to light, it shines through. The old one didn't.

The previous version had a very handy storage pouch on the inside of the front, and a pouch for a laptop. This has now been combined and is not anywhere near as good. It also had a small ziplock pocket on outside of the top. That has been moved to the side of the bag and is a waste of space, because if the bag is full it's really difficult to get anything into it. Plus it went from being in a useful position, to one that's annoying to get to.

The older version had a study slide clip buckle on the straps which held the straps in place when riding. That has been replaced with a smaller and flimsy feeling clip.

I'm sure many of these changes were a result of customer research. On my reflection from one version of the same bag to the next, it just makes the bag feel cheaper. I just wish I had got my original version repaired.

    Great backpack!

I wanted something waterproof and sleek for commuting and the bag has held up nicely. It’s also super light so even when I’m carrying my laptop and other heavy things, it’s not as bad as my other backpack and was. My one suggestion to improve the design would be to have a water bottle pocket holder on the outside.
