    Seriously awesome pack

    Long time Chrome bags owner, this is my 3rd one. All backpacks! I got my first one in-person at the Chrome store in NYC which is closed now. That one survived many years of hard use until it started to disintegrate but then Chrome actually replaced it for free with a Bravo 4.0 which I love, and use for all my mobile audio recording jobs & hauling music gear & my laptop to gigs. (I’m a musician and recording engineer, Bravo 4.0 was a perfect bag for me.) Now over a decade later I was looking for the ultimate gym backpack and honesty after tons of research & shopping around I remembered how much I love my Chrome Bravo 4.0 bag and came back here to see what was on offer and the Barrage 22L stuck out to me as a great

    option for a hardcore gym backpack. I have to admit when I first found out they stopped making these in the USA I was disappointed, suspecting a drop in quality, but I decided to give it a chance anyway. The bag arrived today and I am so thrilled with it I came here to write this review immediately. I have to say, this is an awesome bag! And the build quality feels amazing. What made me get this version is I heard the old American made ones, which you can still find on eBay sometimes, were much heavier. I carry a lot of gym gear and an extra set of exercise-specific shoes to workout in, so light weight is key for a gym bag for me. I gotta say, not only does the bag look super badass in Moss green, but it actually has more room than I even need. I expected it to be…

    The upgrades are worth it!

    I was hesitant to upgrade to this new design when I saw they had changed some things, namely removing the mini seatbelt buckle from the chest strap. I was really stoked though when I saw the elastic on the side water bottle holders, this will hold my 40 oz. Owala no problem. I also really like the new interior zip pocket. The new shoulder straps and harness are really nice too. They keep the pack low on your bike when riding, so you can still see over your shoulder, and are real comfy. If you're on the fence about this one, just do it; you won't regret it.

    Buying again after 10+ years of use

    I bought an earlier version of this bag in 2012 and it's lasted me until this year, 2025. I'm only buying a new one now because the inside of the old one started flaking off a few years ago. Great backpack--I hope this one lasts me another 10 years!
