    Good travelling and shopping companion

The backpack offers volume for a lot of things to put in there, especially when carrying with open top. In contrast to the previous version, many features were improved, e.g., the weldings on the bottom, or the buckle at the shoulder straps.

However, some good features were lost from the predecessor. The backpack itself has no sufficient structural shape which leads to a sack-like shape when it is empty or filled with only some items. The lack of structural support also causes drag to the front side of the bag so that the folded lid tends to open. This was way much better in the previous version. Also, the width-to-height ratio is too high, so the backpack is way too broad giving it an over-bold look and making it difficult to move in the metro or narrow passages.

Doesn't close well, uncomfortable on the back

Poor design. The magnet on the top flap isn't long enough or strong enough to stop the bag opening when it has a full load. The back pad is thinner than older Chrome backpacks I've had. Pretty disappointed. I gave it a try for a few months and wish I could return it now. 10 years ago I bought the Orlov from Chrome, and I still use it now, since this one is useless. Bring back the old designs!

    Great quality

This purchase was for a gift and our daughter is extremely pleased with her new backpack. She says the look and quality is exceptional. Buying with chrome was efficient and easy. Highly recommend. This site for online purchasing.

Ultimate Waterproof Durability with Room for Improvement

The Urban Ex Backpack 30L is a solid choice for those who need a durable and waterproof bag for daily use. I have been happy with this purchase, but the bag does have some drawbacks.

    First the pros:

    - Spacious Interior: The 30L capacity provides ample room for daily essentials. I use it to carry my work laptop along with a full-size keyboard in a case. I have found there is not much inside other than the laptop sleeve, but it works as intended.

    - Waterproof: I got stuck in a downpour. Like couldn't see 15 feet in front of me type downpour. When I got home, all of my equipment was dry and safe. If I was using my old bag, my laptop would have been destroyed.

    - Lightweight: The bag by itself is very low weight. It would prove to be lighter if I didn't carry as much as I do, but then I wouldn't be able to do most of what I do during the day.

    Cons:

    - Flimsy chest strap: The included chest strap feels a bit flimsy and doesn't provide a secure fit. I replaced it with the Mini Buckle Sternum Strap, which is loads better, but it comes at an extra cost of $20.

    - Arm straps short: Not really an issue for a smaller individual, but I find the straps to be too short for my large frame. The sternum strap sits as low on the side straps as possible yet is just below my neck. The bag itself ends up sitting too high on my back. I would love to have a way to safely and easily increase the length of the straps for larger individuals such as myself.

    - Weak magnetic closure: The top is closed…
