I bought my first Chrome pack around 2013 to mostly lug around a heavy Sager laptop I'd just purchased (worked great), and it was past its prime, so I look looked onward and found the Barrage!

The first use of my new bag has been international travel to Spain.

I was not even very efficient while packing, and yet I was able to get so much inside this bag that my small carry-on could also support having clothing and things my spouse couldn't fit in her carry-on.

I think if I packed light, I could use only the Barrage backpack for everything!

I got my macbook air in the sleeve and steam deck (in a hard case) in the same sleeve, added tons of wires and adapters to the other compartments; added a gigantic calf stretcher that I forgot to put in my carry-on; and a fun bonus I found was that my 40 ounce hydroflask with a huge handle was able to be strapped in to one of the side pockets by way of using one of the straps from the cargo net, and it worked perfectly!

Getting stuff in and out to go through airport security was fast and easy as well!

I was able to strap my CPAP case inside the cargo net, albeit not ideal, and the expansion options there are awesome - I could fit a basketball I think!

At first the sternum strap confused me and I was trapped, until I realized that it is a quick-release buckle!

I sort of miss the security of a side-release buckle, but since I figured it out, I'm loving the new quick-release, and I can see how that could be more useful.
