Like other reviews mention this jacket promises a lot. It essentially checked every box when I was shopping for a replacement jacket when the zipper blew out on my Specialized trail rain jacket.

Except the first time I wore this in a rain shower (a downpour if you will) it completely wetted out. And you can tell it’s rain and not sweat because it’s large swaths of wet on the inside of the jacket. On cold days. It does an admirable job when compared to a windshell, and maybe would be a fine shell for casual seattle usage where the rain is not as heavy. The packability and double zipper is nice. But it was not a match Portland rain.

Side note: the material is very fragile. The coat got caught in my frame bag zipper and immediately tore. Not necessarily a flaw in the jacket but keep it in mind. This purchase has been mostly a loss for me.

Does not handle well in actual "downpour". You will get soaked through. Waterproof like Trumps 2000 check for every American. Customer service will tell you it's because you're sweaty, even though material is thin af and supposedly "breathable". Saved myself from paying full price, but even the discount is a rip off.

Can't return even after finding out product does not perform as expected. Return policy is trash.

Save your money and buy Patagonia.
