Kadet Photo Insert

I’m a professional Photojournalist and absolutely love this with my Kadet sling. The padding is perfect and the build quality is incredible! It very easily fits my Leica M6, extra film rolls, and my old school cassette player. Perfect for when I need an ultralight photo bag that doesn’t look like a photo bag.

I’ve also put my full frame Leica SL camera body and my 24-105 lens (unattached) in this bag, as well as spare batteries and SD cards. No issues.

When all you need is an ultralight photo bag that doesn’t scream photo bag for running and gunning with your cameras, this bag is it!

I’ve also loaded this with my Leica Q, spare batteries, SD cards, and a couple extra diapers for when my two year-old daughter is bombing through the city with me while I’m on assignment. :-)

I wanted to like it but it didn't fit my kit. I love my Kadet sling, and carry my camera in it all the time, especially when traveling. This seemed like a perfect add for my Canon R8 and a couple of lenses. It didn't fit. The velcro dividers were annoyingly grabby and hard to place. The sewn in compartment at one end doesn't make sense when there are already velcro dividers; I could have fit my body, compact prime and zoom without it. The padding is too thick all around too, just takes up a lot of space and the top flap with zipper is thick, stiff and cumbersome. Kadet Max overall might have been fine maybe, but with this insert in Kadet I also wouldn't be able to add anything else like a snack or a small book or a water bottle.

Seriously, I would order it again if it was thinner overall, didn't have the thick zipper top lid and didn't have the non-removable pocket on one end.
