Kadet Photo Insert

Conceptually I love it but there are some major issues.

Its a black hole, almost all of my camera gear is black and too many bags use black interiors, i can't see my lens cap or SD cards because the interior of the photo insert is all black, use a lighter grey, or red. something that gives contrast so I can see what's in there.

It's also a tight fit, maybe the Kadet dimensions have changed, mine is super old, but trying to zip the bag closed is tough one handed, the top flap kind of just gets in the way, the pockets could be on the outer side of the insert since it's just for quick access little stuff.

I want to love it, but I can't. If there is ever a version with a different colored interior I might give it another try.

I’m a casual photographer who is tired of bringing everything, just in case, but aware that a couple of options can yield great results. I like to bring a Fujifilm X camera for most of the stills and maybe a video clip here and there, and an Insta360 Ace Pro 2 for most of the video, and the occasional still shot. This photo insert fits and organizes enough of a kit for both cameras (batteries, cards, and an extra lens option or two). It’s big enough for options, but small enough to not give myself option paralysis, and it fits perfectly into my Kadet Max, leaving room for a full-size PC gaming handheld, keys, meds, e-reader, and a windbreaker.

It’s also great for throwing that kit into a suitcase or bigger backpack, so as long as I remember to charge my batteries, it’s like the perfect photo bugout bag!
