Chrome's own BMX prodigy took home one of the highest honors in the sport last month: an X-Games gold medal in the BMX Park category. Born to the owner of a cycling shop in Kyoto, Rim Nakamura's name even carries the spirit of victory in the sport- the Kanji for "Ring" and "Dream" coming together to form the English word for the edge of the wheel.
Nakamura, who entered his first BMX competition at the age of 5, has been repping Chrome in an official capacity since 2023. In that time, he has made several podium appearances including at Simple Session and at the 2025 X-Games SLC.

Recently though, he struck gold on the Osaka leg of the X-Games summer tour. Leading the pack in the qualifying round by a single point, Rim rallied in the final to decimate his competition with a superb combination of speed, height, and complexity. The judges commented on his remarkable control and the incredible skill with which he navigates his tail whips and transfers.
Rim Nakamura truly makes it look easy- and we look forward to having his back for many more competitions. He's got to have somewhere to put all those medals after all!
