    The upgrades are worth it!

I was hesitant to upgrade to this new design when I saw they had changed some things, namely removing the mini seatbelt buckle from the chest strap. I was really stoked though when I saw the elastic on the side water bottle holders, this will hold my 40 oz. Owala no problem. I also really like the new interior zip pocket. The new shoulder straps and harness are really nice too. They keep the pack low on your bike when riding, so you can still see over your shoulder, and are real comfy. If you're on the fence about this one, just do it; you won't regret it.

Buying again after 10+ years of use

I bought an earlier version of this bag in 2012 and it's lasted me until this year, 2025. I'm only buying a new one now because the inside of the old one started flaking off a few years ago. Great backpack--I hope this one lasts me another 10 years!

    Great backpack

I cycle a lot, and love the flexibility of this bag for bike commuting. Highly recommend.

    Chrome lies about lifetime warranty

I bought this bag back in 2021. Earlier this year, the clip broke, which has happened to multiple people I know that own this bag. Subsequently, because I could not secure the strap, it got caught and tore off the bag.

I did not ask for a new bag- simply to repair the bag I had. But chrome industries refused stating "Thanks for following up on your strap issue. We are unable to offer a repair. We recommend hitting up a local tailor, gear or luggage repair shop for assistance with a repair. You can also use an outdoor gear repair specialist like Rainy Pass Repair in Seattle, WA. They accept mailed repairs and give quotes by email."

If you are going to offer lifetime warranties, maybe don't lie about it? This was not normal wear and tear. The bag was 4 years old (not a lifetime if you ask me). I am rapidly spreading the word for my pals to switch back to ortlieb/cotopaxi.
