New 38L Cohesive Pack

Designed in Japan

Designed by our Japan team, the Cohesive 2.0 38L is the first new drop in our Spring 2026 Japan Collection and pairs a clean, architectural look with real utility. Two main compartments keep your gear separated instead of piled, and the size works just as well for travel as it does for everyday carry. T-Lok shoulder straps let you carry comfortably as a backpack or can adjust to the side, messenger style. Built to be used hard, without feeling overbuilt.

    Best backpack you can buy

This bag is awesome. Not only is it super spacious for travel but compacts well for normal daily classroom teacher use. The comments about the corners being difficult to close on the zippers are only true if you try to close it super fast. Slowing down just a bit makes things much easier.

Great versatile bag that fits large engineering laptop

I have a 17in monster of a laptop for work that fits in the protective sleeve. This backpack was also able to help protect said laptop in a car accident, rain and with the vents is not terrible to ride with even in very hot and humid weather. I ride with this backpack during my 20 mile commute for work.

It's spacious with a good amount of smaller pockets. It's not difficult to find what you need although it is a little difficult to zip up first around the top corners. I can fit all of my work materials, clothes and my lunchbox inside if I really want to.

    Fantastic bag but ...

... it can be awfully difficult to get the main zipper on the Tarp version open or closed around the top corners of the bag. The bag is sewn square, and the tarp material is so heavyweight that it's stiff, especially with the flap that covers the zipper folded down.

I love the size of the bag, how easy it is to put things in and take them out when you can get the zippers open, the internal organization, etc. The zipper is the one issue I have with the bag.

Here's hoping it gets easier with time.

Perfect backpack with one very small flaw

Love this backpack, I have the barrage 38l and the uptown messenger . This is a nice addition to my lineup and I love everting about it . Only small flaw is the new small style chest support clip. It’s too small to quickly buckle without messing around with it for a few seconds. Not sure why they didn’t just go with the usual three prong buckle style
