I decided to give a sling bag one more chance after trying several and hating them. I usually commuted with my Osprey Day Lite backpack, but it started making my back too sweaty and had too many straps making bike rides a bit dangerous due to the straps hanging so close to the rear wheel, so I wanted a sling. The Kadet is the perfect size for my cycling commute to the office and for when I’m just riding. Its minimalistic design beats anything else I’ve found online. And the u-lock stash is the only compartment in the industry comfortable and stable enough to accommodate my Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboutit u-lock (yes, the big one, not the mini). Not carrying a u-lock? No worries, you will never even notice the stash pocket’s there and it takes no space away from the interior compartments at all.

One of the things I like most about this bag is the stabilizer strap. No other sling bag I owned came with this type of strap. As its name suggests, it stabilizes the bag so it’s not spinning in all different directions or pounding your back while riding a bike. No, the bag is not big enough for a laptop of any size and may accommodate a small tablet/iPad. I'm a week in with this bag. It's perfect for my daily life. I love the rainbow buckle I put on it. I've wanted a chrome bag for years but I don't really have need for a big messenger bag. The kadet is just right though, and I still get the cool buckle look. This is the perfect size for me and my things, plus a tablet and my Kindle if I want them. Can't wait to break it in further and cover it in cool patches. Bonus points on the costumer service because there was a misunderstanding on something else I bought, and they gave me a full refund without me even asking.
