I purchased this bag for my wife to use for school, as she was excited about both the capacity and the style. I own four other Chrome bags, all of which have held up to nearly 10 years of use without issue, so I was pretty confident in the quality of their products.

Within the first week of use, both the interior lining and the water bottle holder ripped. Nothing sharp or particularly heavy was being carried inside, just notebooks and, surprise, a water bottle. Pretty lame.

Considering their reputation for durability, it’s disappointing that they opted for such thin nylon instead of the more durable tarp lining used in their other bags. It feels like a significant downgrade in quality compared to what I’ve come to expect from them.

I’d steer clear of this bag unless the only things you plan on carrying are pillows and plushies
