    Decent, terrible mounting system

They are more robust than the urban ex 2, about the same internal size, maybe slightly bigger. Water resistant not waterproof. The laptop sleeve takes up alot of the thickness

There's a nice pocket on side for a water bottle. If you leave the shoilder strap attached you gotta stuff it inside before closing it up.

The mounting system is insanely cumbersome. Hook and loop straps that aren't easy to put on and off. Not as easy as the other older chrome panniers or the ortlieb panniers. I don't know why chrome went with this mounting system. Probably cause it was way cheaper to manufacture.

It would be a good pannier for work, could hold a laptop, some cables and folders and maybe a light jacket. Prob no room for your lunch bag. Ideally it would be used on a bike you wouldn't need to lock up often because it's a pain to take off and put back on.

    Solid Commuter Pannier

This has been my daily driver holding my change of gym clothes, prepacked lunch, laptop and other essentials. I like the padded inside for my laptop and the singular large pocket to toss in my wallet keys earbuds etc. The Velcro straps made me weary of loading it up to heavy but I've been able to throw in my U-lock a long with some last minute groceries with zero issues. It's sleek enough to not look like some dorky high shine pannier made for grocery/camping rides and instead can confidently wear in and out of the office. The strap is removable and unless I'm going for a long stroll remains tucked away in the one of two drink holders. As others mentioned the bottom strap has remained unused and can be removed. Thankfully the strap distance falls perfectly in line with my rack and therefore does not move whatsoever as others have complained about.

If you want something to pack a change of clothes for your work or for a bag you can wear into a bar for some drinks afterwards and possibly even a small grocery run on the way home look no further.

    Poor design. Nice bag.

The design is bad. The bottom strap really doesnt setup for too much success with strapping it down so it doesn't move. My first ride, the strap came loose and the bag flopped around a bit for 30 minutes. Cut the back of the bag on the first trip. Now I have to use zip ties to strap it down tighter using the other straps holes they have. This makes it work better for sure.

    Disappointing

I have about 10 chrome industries bags/big bags, along with a bunch of shirts and shorts. I've loved everything chrome has offered.

The bottom strap of this pannier is so bad that it makes it veryyyy difficult to keep steady on the bottom, which might make it move around a bit depending on your rack. Within 20 minutes, my bag had kept moving, and had a small slit in the back side of it from moving while riding.

I contacted chrome, and they said it was user error and wouldn't do anything about it. Pretty dissatisfied considering that I've had nothing but amazing experiences with other chrome bags.
