This bag was purchased for two upcoming trips this summer - Cancun, family trip and Angel Fire 4th of July outdoor fun. No issues in Cancun…beach trips and city exploring in the rain all week (rainy season)…no problems. Then Angel Fire a couple weeks later. Some downhill mountain biking…kayaking, hiking, lake fishing…fell apart quickly.

Mountain biking…definitely get the support strap. Actually, the support strap would make everything a little less shifty.

Then kayaking - middle of the lake…(3) iPhones, keyfob, and a handgun…dumped the boat…swimming. Bag was not over full - plenty of room.

Out of the corner of my eye I see the bag zipper open…bag filling with water. All of its content floating…ruined, sinking to the bottom of a mountain lake. Catastrophic zipper failure mid-zipper. Zipper head fully closed…but zipper open. I repeated this failure three times, confirming the failure.

I love this brand - I have (5) Chrome bags…but this was disappointing. They offered to replace the bag - they did…but trust was broken.

I’ve been looking for that sling that becomes one with the back of the rider it sits on. The one that doesn’t slip, is waterproof, can easily be maneuvered from front to back for easy access. The mini Kadet (Future White) has the waterproof and quality build figured out but inside feels unfinished with a couple tight pockets for keys or tiny phone and open space for everything else. Water tight zippers work but the whole pull hard gently could be a concern for some. It’s a sharp looking sling that doesn’t really work on either of my shoulders. Even more odd is the need to purchase a strap that isn’t included but very much needed to make it feel somewhat secure while riding. I’m waiting for an ah ha moment for this middle of the road high end sling but feel like the words to hype or sell this sling got lost somewhere between the drawing board and what I thought it could be.
